About Us

The Embry Center for Family Life is a 501 (c)(3) Non-profit organization established in 2011. The Embry Center for Family Life in collaboration with the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland-College Park, conducted a community needs assessment via a Strategic Operating-Environment Analysis.

The data illustrated a need to focus on improving the outcomes of individuals and families who would otherwise stay

bound to poverty, unemployment, and the lack of an education. We found that there is a demonstrated need to bridge

the gap between persons caught in a cycle of poverty and hopelessness in their communities.

We seek to enrich and enhance the lives of individuals and families in our community and to improve the spiritual,

socio-economic, health and emotional conditions that prevail in our community, initiatives in education, training, job development and providing resources will be the strategies used to effect change in the lives of those in our community.

We also seek to enrich and enhance the lives of individuals and families in our community to improve their capability as

well as establishing support groups for issues identified.
